The skin is composed of three layers, and for skin rejuvenation, we focus on the middle layer, which contains connective tissue and collagen cells. By generating sufficient heat to cause thermal damage, we activate the body's wound-healing process, which involves the production of new collagen cells to repair the damaged connective tissue. Pigmented lesions, such as seborrheic keratosis and moles, usually require two to four treatment sessions for permanent removal. The GentleMax Pro is a state-of-the-art laser system designed for hair removal and skin care. It uses light energy to reduce wrinkles and remove vascular and pigmented lesions, including age spots, freckles, and sun damage.
During the procedure, laser energy is delivered through a handpiece operated by your practitioner. The intense beam of light is absorbed by the hair follicle, pigmented lesion, or vascular lesion and converted to heat. This heat damages the targeted hair follicle or lesion while leaving the surrounding tissue unaffected. You may experience some pinkness in your skin immediately after the procedure, which typically lasts from a few minutes to several hours.
